You were reading Less Than Zero, and you were wearing a Guns ‘n’ Roses t-shirt. I’d never seen anything so perfect. These two images together are just so so powerful. The happiness on Harry’s face in the first gif just completely reaches his eyes. He’s so young and free with not a care in the world. Seeing the transition from childhood to adulthood so sharply between two images is painful. Everything about him in the second gif is upsetting. His composure and facial expression say it all- there will never be the right words to describe what it is like to be forced beyond the line that lies between childhood and adulthood so quickly. I feel for Harry Potter and all the Harry Potters of the world who are thrust into the darkness of the real world before they should be. I just hope, like Harry, they can find the light too.
